Abstract: This specification covers a hot-melt asphaltic compound for coating the inner walls of metal cases prior to filling with explosives.Intended Use: Hot melt asphaltic compound covered by this specification is intended for use as a protective lining for fabricated metal cases in applications where charges of high explosives are poured into the cases, particularly where crevices exist in the case walls. Since this compound was developed for use with military grade high explosives, no commercial application exists.
