Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of the JAU-54/A Arm Fire Initiator (3W84) (see 6.1). Intended Use: The JAU-54/A is a cockpit mounted tee handle initiator used in the canopy removal system of AH-1 helicopters. The canopy removal system is only used in military aircraft, therefore the initiator has no commercial application.
