Abstract: This specification covers one type of moving coil, dynamic type earphone designated as H-87B/U. This earphone transforms electrical energy into acoustical energy and may be acquired normally as component parts of a complete headset assembly Intended Use: These earphones are intended for use with a variety of headsets and helmets required for aircraft communicating facilities in performance of the function intended (see 3.4). In addition, these earphones are mechanically and electrically interchangeable with earphone: P/OH-87A/U but the frequency range has been extended from 6,000 to 7,000 Hz.
