Abstract: This standard provides the requirements for static and centrifugal casting of QQ-T-390, grade 2 babbitt on steel or bronze bearing shells. Intended Use: This standard is intended to provide the procedures that must be followed for preparation and tinning of the shell surfaces before babbitting, for casting the babbitt and for quenching the parts and finishing the surfaces after babbitting.
