MIL-A-9207B
ANALYZER, IGNITION AND VIBRATION, AIRCRAFT RECIPROCATING ENGINE
Year: 1955
Abstract: This specification establishes the requirements for two types of ignition and vibration analyzers suitable for use as a test cell or flight line instrument. It shall include provisions for ignition analysis on either high or low tension ignition systems and shall also provide suitable vibration harnesses, pickups, and leads for complete vibration analysis for those engine types specified herein.
The ignition and vibration analyzer shall be of the following types:
Intended Use: The Engine Analyzers described by this specification, contain the basic Analyzer Instrument. They are designed to detect, locate, and identify reciprocating aircraft engine abnormalities as well as to indicate normal engine operation. The type I equipment will be used in the test cell while the Type II is primarily intended for flight line use.
The ignition and vibration analyzer shall be of the following types:
Type I - Nonportable Type II - Portable.
