Abstract: Scope:
While the NATO definition of logistics is wide ranging, this publication deals mainly with planning and co-ordination of NATO operational logistic support. Specifically, the focus is on the functional areas of:
• Supply and services
• Maintenance and repair
• Movement and transportation
• Infiastructure
• Medical
• Contracting
• Funding
Additionally, this publication covers broad logistic responsibilities such as Host Nation Support (HNS). The Allied Joint Logistic Doctrine Hierarchy is described in Annex 1-A.
