Abstract: Scope: This Technical Code applies to the PE-HD welding of factory made, thermal insulated and directly buried pipes for district heating networks in accordance with AGFW FW 401, EN 253, EN 448, EN 488, EN 489, EN 13941, EN 15632 and EN 15698. The Technical Code applies to work performed at the factory and on site. Supplement 1 applies to plug welding for sealing the foam openings. Supplement 2 applies to the testing and assessment of the welded joints.
