DMA SINGLE COLOR OVERPRINT LIMITED REVISION UPDATES (SCO)

Abstract: This standard defines the requirements for the compilation, color separation, and reproduction of the Defense Mapping Agency's (DMA) Single Color Overprint Limited Revision Update (SCO) program.
Conformance to this standard will assure uniformity of treatment among all mapping and charting elements engaged in this production process.
This standard shall be used for the production of all SCOs of 1:50,000 and 1:100,000 topographic line maps (TLM) and city graphics (including environs insets) unless otherwise directed by project instructions. Each section of this standard shall be applicable to all three products, unless otherwise indicated. In this standard the term "map" shall include each of the above products unless otherwise indicated. This standard shall be used in conjunction with the applicable specifications and generally contains only information which deviates from those specifications.
This standard is unclassified. Intended Use: SCOs are designed as an update of major, militarily significant, features on existing out of date products in the shortest time period possible.
