INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY POLICIES

Abstract: The Johnson Space Center (JSC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable for the Center's Information Technology (I/T) Program. This document is one of three documents (strategies, policies, and "standards")that form the basis of the JSC I/T Program.
This document specifically provides guidance and measures for the implementation of I/T at JSC. It is developed and modified with participation by the affected organizations, is baselined by the Center's Information Resources Management Steering Council (IRMSC), is maintained by the Office of the CIO, and is available for access by anyone associated with the Center. The information in this document provides documentation of the policies defining rules for implementation and use of the Center's I/T.
The overriding principle of this document is to effectively guide the use of I/T in supporting the missions and programs of JSC.
The set of policies listed within this document apply to all offices under the management of the JSC Center Director. Other co-located offices are encouraged to adopt this set to ensure interface compatibility with JSC systems and processes.
