Abstract: This specification covers hot weather sun hats. Intended Use: The sun hats are intended for special purpose wear by Department of Defense military personnel. The Type II sun hats are to be worn in desert areas, Types III and V are to be worn in tropical and semi-tropical areas, and the Type IV sun hat shall be worn in all environments.
