Abstract: The objective is to define and standardize a set of common file formats to be used in multimedia services (such as Multimedia Streaming Service (MSS) and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)) and to provide interoperability with existing 3G and the Internet multimedia services to the greatest extent possible. The specific media types and descriptions to be covered include: video, audio, images, graphics, high fidelity audio as well as presentation layout and synchronization.
