Abstract: This Specification applies to Class IVa dispersion-unshifted single-mode optical fibers with glass core and cladding.

This Specification, Basic specification EIAITIA-455-A and its addenda, Generic Specification TIA/EIA-4920000-B, Blank Detail Specifications, and all Detail Specifications derived from the first four listed Specifications shall follow the specification structure used in the U.S. National Electronic Components Quality Assessment System (NECQ). For further details, see the Foreword.
