Abstract

Purpose <br>This document provides an informative overview of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and Project 25 (P25) activities and documents supporting the development of product compliance assessment documents, including Recommended Compliance Assessment Tests (RCAT) Telecommunications Standards Bulletins (TSBs). <br>This document briefly describes some of the activities of other groups relevant to the overall assessment testing that may impact product developed pursuant to a common system standard for digital public safety communications (P25 Standard) and/or the common system standard for digital land mobile radio communications developed by TIA (TIA-102), hereinafter called TIA-102/P25 product. <br>The document briefly describes compliance assessment of TIA-102/P25 product. This informative document includes a very brief overview of the Department of Homeland Security, Office for Interoperability and Compatibility P25 Compliance Assessment Program (DHS/OIC P25 CAP) and a very brief overview of assessment outside the DHS/OIC P25 CAP. <br>Details on the DHS/OIC P25 CAP are available from the DHS/OIC P25 CAP Governing Board.Details on any assessment conducted outside of the DHS/OIC P25 CAP may be obtained from the test lab conducting such assessment and/or from the manufacturer for whom such assessment testing was conducted as described herein. <br>The intended audience for this document is the TIA-102/P25 product industry, the public safety community and others with an interest in the TIA-102/P25 product compliance assessment.
