Abstract: This Specification applies to Class IVd nonzero dispersion single-mode optical fibers with glass core and cladding.
Class IVd fibers are typically used in telecommunications, video, and data applications. Their chromatic dispersion is nonzero throughout the wavelength range of anticipated use.
This Specification, Basic Specification EIAITIA-455-A and its addenda, Generic Specification TiA/EIA-4920000-B, Blank Detail Specifications, and all Detail Specifications derived from the first four listed Specifications shall follow the specification structure used in the U.S. National Electronic Components Quality Assessment System (NECQ). For further details, see the Foreword.
