FOTP-183 Hydrogen Effects on Optical Fiber Cable

Abstract: The test procedure is intended to provide a type test which characterizes the effect on fiber attenuation due to hydrogen generated by the cable components only. The data must be used cautiously since such data does not account for potential generation of hydrogen from other sources in the installed environment.
