Abstract: This specification establishes the performance, design, testing, manufacturing, and acceptance requirements for a forced air inlet personnel heater assembly, referred to herein as "heater" (see 6.1).
Heaters will be dual or single air of the following types (see 6.4.1 and 6.4.2):
Intended Use: The heater furnished under this specification is intended to supply warm air to the crew compartment of military vehicles. Type I heaters may be substituted for type II heaters. Type II heaters will not be substituted for type I heaters. Heaters are used on M992 Series FAASV and M109 Series SPH.
