Abstract: Purpose. This specification defines the mine clearing blade system (MCBS) which is mounted on the M1 series main battle tanks.Intended Use: The M1 MCBS is intended for use with the M1 series main battle tank for extracting or removing any land mines or booby traps from the M1 series MBT path and to detonate tilt-rod type mines in front of track of the M1 series MBT.
