OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY: ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Abstract: This specification covers one type of oil cooler assembly for cooling engine and transmission oils (see 6.1) and is comprised of two engine oil cooler core assemblies and one transmission oil cooler assembly.
The engine and oil cooler assembly for acquisition purposes comes in three configurations as specified (see 6.2):
Configuration A - Oil cooler assembly (Drawing 8690239)
Configuration B - Core assembly, engine oil (Drawing 7356770)
Configuration C - Core assembly, transmission (torque) oil (Drawing 7356769) Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and any pertinent data which may be of use in improving this document should be addressed to: U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, ATTN: AMSTA-TR-E/BLUE, Warren, MI 48397-5000, by using the Standardization Document Improvement Proposal (DD Form 1426) appearing at the end of this document, or by letter. Intended Use: The oil cooler assemblies covered by this specification are intended for use in military tactical and transport vehicles to cool the vehicle engine and transmission oil.
