Abstract: This CID covers tire chain assemblies and replacement cross chains with cross chain hooks for use on military tactical wheeled vehicles equipped with military single pneumatic tires. Tire chain assemblies are referred to herein as "chain assemblies".
Each chain assembly is comprised of two side chains and the required number of cross chains for each tire. Cross chain hooks are used to connect the cross chains to the side chains. Side chain fasteners are used to connect the ends of each side chain. Replacement cross chains are used to repair chain assemblies.
