TELETYPEWRITER SET: AN/TGC-29(V)

Abstract: This specification covers one type portable self-contained teletypewriter set consisting of a keyboard, page printer, printing reperforator and distributor-transmitter, housed in a watertight transit case. Intended Use: The Teletypewriter Set, AN/TGC-29 (V) is normally intended for use as a communications device for transmission and reception of alphanumeric data (including messages) over radio or wire teletypewriter circuits on either a "half-duplex" or "full-duplex" basis, depending on the associated terminal equipment and transmission media employed. It will also be employed in conjunction with cryptographic equipment as an input and output device, as specified herein. When so operating, all noncrypto signal and control lines, other than radio control, shall be disconnected.
