Abstract: This handbook establishes structural performance, design development, and verification guidance for turbine engines. This handbook also establishes the need for an Engine Structural Integrity Program (ENSIP). This handbook is for guidance only. This handbook cannot be cited as a requirement. If it is, the contractor does not have to comply. Intended Use: This document should be used as guidance for identifying the structural integrity characteristics of all propulsion systems for military acquisition, which includes the acquisition of commercial off-the-shelf propulsion systems.
