Abstract: This specification covers the loading, assembling and packing for the projectile, 155MM, HE: M864E2. The M864E2 cargo is the M1162 Pyrotechnic Self-Destruct Fuze (p-SDF) designed to minimize battlefield duds by adding self-destruct capability to the current Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions (DPICM) M42/M46 grenade.Intended Use: The components and assemblies covered by this specification are intended to be used in the reassembly to Load, Assemble, and Pack M864E2 Projectiles utilizing self destruct fuzes staked to M42/M46 grenades.
