Abstract: Scope: This Standard specifies chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-C) fittings (hereafter referred to as fittings) used mainly for adhesion-jointing of the chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-C) pipes (hereafter referred to as pipes) for hot and cold water supply specified in JIS K 6776. NOTE: The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence between JIS and the International Standards are as follows. ISO 15877-1: 2009 Plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations- Chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-C)-Part 1: General ISO 15877-3: 2009 Plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations- Chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-C)-Part 3: Fittings (overall evaluation: MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
