Abstract: This specification covers one type of fixed focus automatic enlarging printer for printing 35 millimeter single frame, 70 millimeter, and 5-inch roll negatives, designated Type E-l. The printer is intended for use in both step, repeat, and continuos modes of printing. Intended Use: The Type E-1 projection printer is to be used as a means of projection printing 35mm, 70mm, and 5-inch roll negative film onto roll photographic paper 9-⅜ inches wide by 1,000 feet long at the respective fixed focus magnifications of 8.4X, 4X, and 2X. The printer is to be operated in an automatic manner and is intended to be used where quantity production of prints from rolls aerial film is a standard workload condition.
