Abstract: This commercial item description covers the requirements for a basic mountaineering kit that supports an Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) platoon or similarly structured element of forty (40) personnel. The kit will contain items that will assist minimallytrained Soldiers operating in up to Class 4 Terrain in Operational Terrain Level 1 and Operational Terrain Level 2 absent of significant snow and ice.
