Abstract: This specification covers the general requirements for quick-disconnect external low pressure half couplings for a pneumatic starter, with primary and secondary methods of release and, automatic pressure lock with self-closing valves.Intended Use: The couplings covered by this specification are intended for use with an aircraft mounted nipple for the purpose of connecting the aircraft with a ground service low pressure air supply for operation of an air turbine starter, air turbine motor or other pneumatically powered equipment. Use is limited to applications within the requirements of this specification.
