Abstract: PURPOSE.
This Instruction:
Reissues DoD Directive (DoDD) 7250.13 (Reference (a)) as a DoD Instruction in accordance with the authority in DoDD 5105.53 (Reference (b)).
Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures governing the use of appropriated funds for official representation purposes throughout the Department of Defense under section 127 of title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.) (Reference (c)); DoDD 4515.14 (Reference (d)); section 2694 of title 22, U.S.C. (Reference (e)); and Deputy Secretary of Defense Memorandum (Reference (f)).
APPLICABILITY.
This Instruction applies to OSD, the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the General Counsel of the Department of Defense, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities in the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components").
