| description abstract | This standard defines minimum elements and format for certificates for AEx equipment to align with those for the IECEx Certificate of Conformity. NOTE 1 — This standard may be used for other than AEx equipment such as Division equipment which includes protection techniques including but not limited to explosion proof and dust ignition proof. NOTE 2 — Listing indicates that equipment has been evaluated against and meets the requirements of specific standards. Certificates offer an added benefit of providing documentation that will enable users to understand the models certified, the applicable standards, the effective date, and any specific conditions of use. NOTE 3 — Certificates are frequently requested by, and used by, end users or installers of equipment in order to document the suitability of equipment to the AHJ. | |
