description abstractThis test method covers the determination of the splitting tensile strength of cylindrical concrete specimens, such as molded cylinders and drilled cores.
Note 1—For methods of molding cylindrical specimens, see R 39 and T 23. For methods of obtaining drilled cores, see T 24M/T 24.
The values stated in either inch-pound or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. The SI units are shown in parentheses.
