Abstract: This specification covers glass-reinforced thermosetting epoxy resin pipe, glass-reinforced thermosetting epoxy resin fittings, and thermosetting epoxy resin joint adhesive kits. Intended Use: Pipe, fittings, and adhesive kits covered by this specification are intended for service up to 150°F and 200 lb/in2 in shipboard piping systems of 1 through 12-inch diameters conveying nonflammable and noncombustible fluids. Higher temperature service in systems constructed up to 200°F is permitted, provided constructed pressure does not exceed 100 lb/in2.
