Abstract: This specification covers high pressure and HI shock, type TA vaneaxial fans for use in cooling the gas turbine enclosures of ship propulsion/generator systems. Intended Use: The fan-motor units specified herein are intended for use in cooling the gas turbine enclosures of propulsion/generator systems onboard ships of the United States Navy. The direction of airflow into and out of the fans is axial. The fans are of nonsparking construction and are high efficiency units.
