Abstract: This specification covers hydraulic filter housings with differential pressure actuated bypass valves and connected indicators for use in ship hydraulic systems with an operating pressure up to 3,000 pounds per square inch (lb/in2) as specified in the applicable specification sheets (see 3.1). Intended Use: The filter housings covered by this specification are intended for use in ship petroleum oil, water glycol, and phosphate ester fluid hydraulic systems. For application to systems using other than these fluids, users should ensure compatibility of the fluid used with the filter housings and elements.
