Abstract

This specification establishes the requirements for copper, copper alloy, copper-clad bronze (CCB), copper-clad stainless steel (CCS), and copper-clad alloy steel (CAS) materials, sheet, and strip, in various thicknesses, for use as electrostatic or electromagnetic shielding for insulated power, control, instrumentation, and communication cables. <br>NOTE 1-See Specification B736, for related standards for aluminumbased shielding materials. <br>The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard. <br>The only exception is grain size, which is reported in SI (mm) units. <br><em>This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
