Abstract: This specification covers road wheels, track support rollers, and idler wheels for use on military track laying vehicles. These are metal wheels with bonded solid elastomer tires (see 6.1). Intended Use: The wheel assemblies described in this specification are intended for vehicle or track support on track laying military vehicles. Since these wheel assemblies must operate with loads commensurate with tactical battlefield conditions (see tables I and II), under which commercial items would experience catastrophic failure, they are military unique.
