Abstract: This international standard describes the physical interface portions of high performance electrical and optical link variants that support the higher level Fibre Channel protocols including FC-FS-3 (reference [33]) and the higher Upper Level Protocols (ULPs) associated with HIPPI, SCSI, IP and others.
FC-PI-5 includes 16GFC, 8GFC and 4GFC. FC-PI-5 supersedes FC-PI-4 (reference [2]). For older technologies such as 2GFC and 1GFC refer to FC-PI-2 (reference [3]).
