Abstract: This specification establishes the requirements for material, construction, heat treatment, surface roughness, protective finish, and quality control of positive locking quick release pins, single and double acting.Intended Use: The pins are intended for use on aircraft to ensure that the landing gear cannot be retracted while the aircraft is on the ground. The pins are also intended for use in applications requiring quick assembly and disassembly.
