Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for carbon steel and corrosion resistant steel wire strand used in aircraft application other than over sheaves. (CAUTION: See application limitations in 6.1.) Intended Use: The wire strand covered by this specification is intended for use in aircraft control systems applications where high resistance is needed against corrosion and abrasion. Wire strand to this specification should not be used for applications subject to bending fatigue.
