Abstract: This specification covers alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) motor controllers and associated switching devices. Included are manual and magnetic controllers, controller parts, limit switches, pressure switches, temperature switches, selector switches, push-buttons, and similar devices used for control of electric motors. Semiconductor (solid-state) devices used as parts for magnetic controllers are included. Intended Use: Controllers, controller parts, and associated switching devices covered by this specification are intended for surface and submarine use. For special duty see 3.6.
