Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for 3 grades of tris-1-(2-methyl aziridinyl) phosphine oxide.
The tris-1-(2-methyl aziridinyl) phosphine oxide shall be of the following grades as specified in the contract (see 6.2):
Grade A - Distilled
Grade B - High Purity
Grade C - Crude Intended Use: The material is intended for use as an ingredient in the manufacture of solid propellant for rocket motors. Grade A material is intended for use in catapults Mk 12 and 18, and the Sidewinder missile. Grade B material is intended for use in the rocket motor for the CKU-5/A rocket assembly, in the M270 impulse cartridge, and in the dual thrust rocket motor Mk 56 Mods 0, 1 and 2. Grade C material is intended to be further purified prior to use in propellant compositions.
