Abstract: This specification covers an ignition lead that transmits high energy and high tension voltage from an ignition exciter to an igniter plug with energy to ignite and start a gas turbine engine (see 6.1).Intended Use: The ignition lead covered by this specification is intended to provide electrical continuity between the ignition exciter and spark igniter on the AGT 1500 gas turbine engine in the M1 (Abrams) military tank. This ignition lead is military unique in application and design, due to the nature of the environmental extremes it should function under.
