Abstract: This specification covers conductor splices and shield terminations which reduce to predetermined diameters upon the controlled application of heat, providing uniform, insulated, soldered connections. Intended Use: The splices described in this specification are intended for the connection of ground wires to cable shields and for hookup wire splices in accordance with the applicable Standard Part Drawing. This specification is intended to establish and control the quality of conductor splices and shield termination for use in electrical equipment.
