The aim of this agreement is to standardize the safety design requirements for ignition systems for rocket and guided missile solid propellant motors used in non-nuclear systems. These safety requirements may be applied to ignition systems of other types of motors, as deemed applicable by the National Safety Approving Authorities (NSAA).
