Abstract: This specification covers tungsten-rhenium alloy wire suitable for use in electron devices and lamps. The material is known as UNS R07031. This wire shall conform to the requirements as to chemical composition prescribed. The wire shall be furnished in the following finishes: Finish 1; Finish 2; Finish 3; Finish 4; and Finish 5. The following test methods shall be performed to conform with the specified requirements: chemical analysis; tensile strength; ductility; visual inspection; and dimensional measurements.
