Wallops Flight Facility Safety, Occupational Health, and Emergency Preparedness Programs
Year: 2007
Abstract: PURPOSE
This document provides the roles, responsibilities, and requirements for the Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) safety and occupational health program including emergency preparedness. It is the policy of Goddard Space Flight Center to provide a safe and healthful work environment for all WFF personnel (civil servants and contractors) as well as visitors; and to be prepared to meet emergencies in a way to minimize disruption of WFF business and risk to personnel, the public, and emergency responders.
APPLICABILITY
This procedure applies to all personnel and facilities at WFF and all personnel working within those facilities. For WFF contractors, it is applicable through contract clauses in conformance with NASA Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Supplement (NFS) Part 1823 and 1852. It is recognized that there are many organizations represented at WFF and each may have requirements of their own in the areas of safety, occupational health and emergency preparedness. WFF requirements generated by the WFF Safety Office and vetted through the WFF Executive Safety and Health Council (ExS&HC) are applicable to all WFF organizations. Other organizations at WFF may have additional or more stringent requirements if needed, but must comply with ExS&HC's basic requirements.
