Abstract: This standard establishes requirements for the storage, handling, and usage of nickel-cadmium batteries for space vehicle applications. Compliance with this standard is intended to assure proper performance of nickel-cadmium batteries and to provide protection against preflight degradation and premature degradation during operational use on space vehicles.
