Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for the Mark 14 Mod 1 Impulse Cartridge (see 6.1). Intended Use: The Mark 14 Mod 1 impulse cartridge is used to unlock and remove the canopy from an aircraft prior to ejection of the seat in an emergency escape. This cartridge is used in all series A-7 (except TA-7C) and all series F-8 aircraft.
