description abstractThis specification establishes the design, performance, and acceptance requirements for AM-7177A/ARC Radio Frequency Amplifier hereinafter referred to as the amplifier. The AM-7177A/ARC is a linear amplifier, operating in the 225.0 MHz through 400 MHz band. With an input of nominally 2 watts, the amplifier, with its self-contained automatic level control, provides an output at 30 watt RF level. Intended Use: The AN/ARC-182(V) System is a variable combination of units which includes the AM-7177/ARC Radio Frequency Amplifier that provides UHF/VHF AM and FM voice and data communication in tactical aircraft. The AM-7177/ARC is a UHF amplifier intended for use to increase the system UHF output level from 10 to 30 watts. The AM-7177/ARC Amplifier is designed for attaching to a MT-6520/ARC Mounting and operating with the RT-1250A/ARC Receiver-Transmitter, or equivalent and the F-1556/ARC UHF Filter.
