Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of the Mark 23 Mod 0 Impulse CartridgeIntended Use: The Mark 23 Mod 0 Impulse Cartridge is used to actuate a helicopter-rescue hoist cable cutter (MSA Part No. TA 97116 or 97999, or equal) to jettison a load in an emergency. Since the cartridge was developed for use in military helicopters, there is no commercial application.
