FOTP-141 Twist Test for Optical Fiber Ribbons

Abstract: This test procedure provides conditions in which an optical fiber ribbon may be twisted in the presence of an applied tensile load. The twisting is performed dynamically over a short period of time under a fixed load condition. The performance of the ribbon is determined by its ability to withstand the test without structural failure.
