Abstract: This standard describes a method of testing the comparative surface burning characteristics of building materials with regard to flame spread and smoke developed.
This test method is applicable to any type of building material that by its own structural quality or the manner in which it is applied is capable of supporting itself in position, or is supported in the test furnace, in the thickness recommended for use.
